Purpose (USE)
1. Lithium fluoride can be widely used as a cosolvent in glass-lined, copper, aluminum welding processes and salt melting chemical processes.
2. Lithium fluoride is recommended as a heat transfer agent for aerospace technology to store solar radiation heat energy.
3. It can be used in aluminum electrolysis and metallurgical industries.
4. High-purity lithium fluoride is used to make fluorinated glass.
5. Lithium-ion battery raw materials.
6. Used as desiccant and flux, and also used in the manufacture of optical glass.
7. Used as an additive for aluminum electrolysis and rare earth electrolysis.
8. Optoelectronic material research is used for insulating material coatings and electrode modification layers.
9. Battery-grade lithium fluoride is one of the key raw materials for the production of lithium hexafluorophosphate, a common electrolyte for lithium-ion batteries.
10. Prisms used in the manufacture of spectrometers and X-ray monochromators, and used as carriers for proliferation reactions.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
1. Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse.
2. Keep sealed and away from children.
3. It should be stored separately from acids to prevent it from reacting with acidic substances.
4. Store separately from food chemicals and avoid mixed storage.
5. Suitable materials should be available in the storage area to contain spills.
PACKAGE
1. Plastic bags, cardboard barrels;
2. Other forms of packaging according to customer needs
CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
1. Lithium fluoride is a white powder with a sodium chloride crystal structure.
2. The relative density is 2.640, the melting point is 848℃, and the boiling point is 1673℃.
3. It begins to volatilize at 1100~1200℃, and its vapor is alkaline.
4. Lithium fluoride is slightly soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol and other organic solvents.
5. At room temperature, lithium fluoride is easily soluble in nitric acid and sulfuric acid, but insoluble in hydrochloric acid, and can form Li2HF acid salt with hydrofluoric acid.
