BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Strontium fluoride is a white colorless cubic crystalline powder, slightly soluble in water, soluble in hydrochloric acid, and insoluble in hydrofluoric acid, ethanol and acetone. It belongs to the cubic crystal system, is stable in the air, and can be decomposed by strong acids. Density 4.24, melting point 1473℃, boiling point 2489℃. It is converted into strontium oxide at temperatures >1000℃ in air.

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES
Strontium fluoride, which is almost insoluble in water (its Ksp value is approximately 2.0x10−10 at 25 degrees Celsius).
It can irritate eyes and skin and is harmful if inhaled or ingested. Similar to CaF2 and BaF2, SrF2 exhibits superionic conductivity at high temperatures.
Kryptonized glass is transparent to light in the vacuum ultraviolet (150 nm) to infrared (11 µm) wavelength range. Its optical properties are between those of calcium fluoride and barium fluoride.
