APPLICATIONS:

1. Pharmaceutical intermediate: Used in the synthesis of multi‑target kinase inhibitors, such as fluorinated quinazoline antitumor agents. Example: nitration‑reduction to give 2,3‑difluoro‑4‑methoxyaniline, which is further used to prepare AZD‑9291 (osimertinib) analogues.

2. Pesticide intermediate: Used to prepare benzamide insecticides (e.g., fluorine‑containing derivatives of chlorantraniliprole) and herbicides (e.g., trifluralin analogues).

3. Liquid crystal materials: Acts as a terminal group in negative‑dielectric LC materials; the combination of fluorine atoms and a methoxy group allows tuning of dielectric anisotropy and optical birefringence.

4. Supramolecular chemistry building block: Serves as a ligand for synthesizing metal‑organic frameworks (MOFs); the methoxy group can be further derivatized to a carboxyl group for metal coordination.

STORAGE CONDITIONS:

1. Store in a cool, dry, well‑ventilated area.

2. Keep container tightly sealed; store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.

3. Separate from oxidizing agents – do not mix storage.

4. Ventilation systems should be equipped with static electricity grounding.

5. The storage area should be equipped with spill containment and appropriate collection materials.

PACKAGE:

1. Sealed glass bottles or plastic drums, with outer wooden packaging.

2. Other packaging forms available upon request.

CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:

Boiling point: ca. 144.5°C, flash point: 47.1°C, refractive index: 1.452. The methoxy group is ortho/para‑directing, but the electron‑withdrawing effect of the adjacent fluorine atoms makes the benzene ring overall electron‑deficient; electrophilic substitution occurs at the position meta to the fluorine atoms (the 5‑position). Vapor pressure of 6.4 mmHg (25°C) indicates moderate volatility; use with adequate ventilation.
